The blog's namesake may have been the first famous person to have said this, but I've heard it as an independent thought from at least one person who doesn't read Vonnegut and certainly didn't see Doubt, the motion picture that has brought the quote some fresh press.
This was quoted to me in a bar today. I was thusly inspired.
